Jane Hensley

Associate

Jane is an associate at Spaeth Communications and has been with the firm since 2010. She works with senior staff members on Spaeth’s customized communication skills trainings and coaching. Jane prepares and rehearses clients for job and media interviews, press conferences and speeches. She has worked with clients from an array of industries including banking, construction, education, energy, healthcare, nonprofit and politics.

Jane has taken responsibility for a wide range of projects, including organizing the firm’s signature approach to compiling spokesperson’s books for organizations. In addition, she has developed and assisted with the design and editing of both client and internal collateral material.

Specializing in new media, Jane helps maintain Spaeth’s social media pages. She serves as a research assistant on Merrie Spaeth’s columns for various local and national publications, and manages the firm’s extensive library of real internal and external video examples, a key feature of Spaeth trainings. Jane produces customized footage for both the firm and its clients.

Jane also edits the company’s widely-distributed monthly newsletter, the BIMBO Memo®, and is the producer of the BIMBO video commentary. One of the firm’s greatest teaching tools, the memo was named for the young woman who said, “I am not a Bimbo,” and is a reminder to clients and friends to never repeat and deny a negative word.

Jane joined Spaeth Communications after graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. A Dallas native, Jane is an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, the Notre Dame Club of Dallas and the Genesis Women’s Shelter Young Leaders group. She also serves as a chair for her graduating class in the Ursuline Academy Alumnae Association.
